1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the CtrlPDF website, APIs, or conversion utilities, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any portion of these terms, you must discontinue use immediately.
2. License & Acceptable Use
CtrlPDF grants users a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to use our web utilities for personal, educational, commercial, and professional document management.
You expressly agree NOT to:
- Deploy automated scrapers, flood bots, or distributed attacks designed to overload or degrade service performance.
- Upload or process materials that violate intellectual property, contain malware, ransomware, or illicit content.
- Attempt to bypass rate limiters, reverse engineer core conversion binaries, or execute unauthorized penetration testing on production servers.
3. Privacy & File Retention
Your privacy is paramount. When you upload documents to CtrlPDF for processing, our servers hold files in memory or ephemeral temporary storage solely for the duration necessary to execute the requested operation. Files are automatically destroyed automatically after processing. We do not inspect, catalog, train AI models on, or resell your data.
4. Service Availability & Warranties
CtrlPDF is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While our architecture targets 99.9% uptime and zero document corruption, we do not warrant that service will be completely error-free or uninterrupted during unexpected network anomalies.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the CtrlPDF development team and affiliated contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from lost files, data transmission delays, or reliance on output files. Users should maintain local backups of critical files.
